ARMED ROBBERY, 2021-02050197, 1425 S. Eads Street. At approximately 4:34 p.m. on February 5, police were dispatched to the report of an armed robbery just occurred. Upon arrival, it was determined that the victim had exited a business and was returning to her vehicle when the two male suspects approached her. Suspect One brandished a firearm, and demanded her personal belongings. A second victim was inside the vehicle, and upon hearing Victim One yelling, she attempted to make noise and photograph the suspects, however, Suspect One then pointed the firearm at her. Both suspects fled in a vehicle prior to police arrival. During the course of the investigation, it was determined that the suspect vehicle had previously been reported stolen earlier in the day. Suspect One is described as a Black male, wearing a black mask, black sweater with the hood on, and black pants. Suspect Two is described as a juvenile Black male, wearing a black mask, black sweater with the hood on, and black pants.
LARCENY FROM AUTO (significant), 2021-02070056, 3100 block of N. Kensington Street. At approximately 4:40 a.m. on February 7, police were dispatched to the report of a vehicle tampering just occurred. A lookout was broadcast and arriving officers observed two vehicles in the area of the 4800 block of Rock Spring Road, occupied by four suspects, and attempted to stop them, however, they fled together at a high rate of speed. The investigation determined that the victim awoke to noise and observed the interior lights to two of his vehicles turned on and saw an older model sedan flee the area at a high rate of speed. An undisclosed amount of cash was determined to have been stolen from one of the vehicles. Suspect Vehicle One is described as a dark colored Dodge sedan with Maryland temporary tags. Suspect Vehicle Two is described as a dark colored newer model SUV. The investigation is ongoing.
GRAND LARCENY (significant), 2021-02060039, 2300 block of N. Oakland Street. At approximately 1:50 a.m. on February 6, police were contacted by the Seat Pleasant Police Department regarding a stolen vehicle recovered in their jurisdiction. During the course of the investigation, it was determined that between 10:30 p.m. on February 5, and 1:50 a.m. on February 6, the unknown suspects gained entry to the victim’s vehicle and stole it. At least one additional unlocked vehicle in the area was determined to have been entered and contents rifled through. The investigation is ongoing.
GRAND LARCENY (significant), 2021-02060092, 1200 block of N. Pierce Street. At approximately 11:51 a.m. on February 6, police were dispatched to the report of a stolen vehicle. Upon arrival, it was determined that the suspect gained entry to a vehicle, rummaged through it, and stole the key fob to a second vehicle parked nearby. The suspect then stole the second vehicle, which is described as a white 2016 Land Rover Range Rover, with Virginia license plates UNJ4927. The investigation is ongoing.
BURGLARY, 2021-02080011, 4300 block of Lee Highway. At approximately 2:13 a.m. on February 8, police were dispatched to the report of a larceny in progress. Upon arrival, it was determined that an unknown suspect forced entry to a secure storage room within a residential building and stole a bicycle. The suspect is described as a light skinned Black male, 42-46 years old, with a black afro, wearing a black hoodie and gray sweatpants. The investigation is ongoing.
BURGLARY, 2021-02080017, 3400 block of Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 3:33 a.m. on February 8, police were dispatched to the report of a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, it was determined that an unknown suspect(s) forced entry to a business and tampered with merchandise. It is unknown whether items were stolen from the business. There is no suspect description(s). The investigation is ongoing.
